Latest of GoM In the recently held meeting of GoM, on June 17, 2010, it has been decided that Prasar Bharati will identify the critical vacancies and send the same with full justification to the Deptt. of Expenditure for recruitment. Prasar Bharati will complete all the formalities for constituting Recruitment Board before 31-07-2010 take up the matter in the Prasar Bharati Board who will finalize latest by 31-08-2010.
Two committees have also been formed, one will take care of amendments in the ,P.B. Act, 1990 and the other one will look into the staff matters. The committee comprises of Joint Secretaries one from each Ministries ie I&B, Law and Justice, Expenditure and DoPT.
Committee will also look into the demand of ADASA regarding pay-hike. It has also been decided that committee will not consider the pay-hike for LDC/UDC and other similar ministrial cadres due to cascading effect in other ministeries.
It has also been held in the meeting that NFADE's demand to repeal the P.B.Act is not within purview of this GoM.
last meeting"s proposed amendment in Section 22 of the Act has also been opposed by the Ministry of Expenditure. However, GoM has directed that it may be taken up in the Cabinet by the Ministry concerned.
